Sony Bravia "Pro mode" set up

Modes Overview

Sony BRAVIA Professional Displays feature three distinct modes: Normal mode, Pro settings mode, and Pro mode, each designed for specific use cases.

  1. Normal Mode:
    • Default mode for general use.
    • Professional features and custom settings are disabled.
    • Ideal for regular Android device functionality, including multiple apps and functions
  2. Pro Settings Mode:
    • Administration mode where advanced settings can be configured.
    • A blue line appears at the top of the screen to indicate activation.
    • Used to define behaviors for Pro mode, such as automatic power scheduling, PIN locks, or app restrictions.
  3. Pro Mode:
    • Operational mode where custom professional settings are applied but hidden from the user.
    • Prevents unauthorized access to settings and disables unwanted features like USB ports or HDMI inputs.
    • Commonly used in corporate, retail, and hospitality environments.

These modes provide flexibility for professional users, enabling tailored setups while ensuring security and operational efficiency in various environments.

How to exit the "Pro mode"

If the display is in PRO mode – meaning the remote either doesn’t respond or you can’t open the settings due to the “Application unavailable” message – you need to exit PRO mode.

You can exit PRO mode by pressing the following keys on your remote control quickly in sequence (not simultaneously):

  1. i+
  2. mute
  3. vol+
  4. home
If the TV does not respond, it may be because the buttons were not pressed quickly enough. You need to press all of the buttons within two seconds.

After pressing these keys, you may be prompted for a PRO mode password. This password will be provided to you by ScreenManager technical support.

At the end, the display will restart, and after it turns back on, you will see the message “Pro settings in progress” at the top. At this point, you can freely configure the display.

Once you’ve finished with your configurations, you can enable PRO mode again by going to: Settings → Pro settings → Start Pro mode.
